Gene patterns may explain how Alzheimer’s spreads to the brain according to reports

The Guardian reports that scientists have found a possible explanation for how Alzheimer’s spreads in the brain. Researchers claim that gene patterns in certain areas of the brain can either encourage or discourage the formation of certain types of protein which when built up in abnormal clumps develop Alzheimer’s disease.
