Breast Cancer Now and Prostate Cancer UK claim the UK are missing out on life saving drugs due to negotiation failures

The U.K are missing out on treatments due to the failure of medicine regulators to negotiate with the pharmaceutical industry on the price of drugs it has been claimed. One example cited was Kadcyla, which can offer breast cancer sufferers 6 months extra life. Available in Canada, Germany and France, but only available through application to the Cancer Drugs Fund in England and not available elsewhere in the U.K.
